A post count is not a complete scope
Ask whether research, planning, copy, design and format adaptations are included. Does a Reel include a cover, editing or filming? These responsibilities should be defined in a social media management proposal. A universal price without scope can be misleading.
Separate filming and revisions
Original business footage requires planning, permissions and editing. Working with existing images is a different scope. Agree revision rounds, approval deadlines and urgent updates. A photography and video plan defines how the assets will be used.
Separate organic work, advertising and spend
Content production, campaign management and platform spend can be separate items. Check whether setup, creative and optimisation are included, and who answers messages. Instagram advertising can support the content calendar but posting alone is not campaign management.
Agree objectives and reporting
Ask for clear deliverables and evaluation criteria rather than follower or viral-content guarantees. Include customer questions and service explanations. Start with our content planning guide and discuss your account so the scope reflects your needs.
Before you start
- Separate copy, design and video.
